The Dayton Firefighters are gearing up for the 2009 "Christmas from the Firehouse" program. In 2008 the Dayton Firefighters distributed toys to over 200 children in 61 families in Dayton thanks to the generosity of our sponsors. Given our economic times this year's program could grow even larger.
If you are a City of Dayton resident and need help this Christmas, please fill out the form located near the top of the menu bar on the left or simply click here. Requests are filled on a first come first served basis. Due to our limited resources, we may not be able to honor all requests. We want to convey our sincere appreciation to the fine folks who have sponsored our program for several years. For 2008 we were very fortunate to have the following businesses partner with us: Meijer, Target, Ernst Concrete, Doll Jansen & Ford Attorneys-at-Law, PAXAR Avery-Dennison, Hammerman, Graf, Hughes & Co., Total Fire Group, Litho-Print and Dayton Corrugated. We truly appreciate their generosity. Thanks are also in order to Local 136 and it's members. The Local not only provides a large donation to the program but it's members individually donate cash and toys as well. If you would like to become a sponsor or simply make a donation please contact us.

According to the OAPFF, they are experiencing problems with non-members acquiring our OAPFF/IAFF license plates. The OAPFF is currently working on a more secure process for our members to obtain the OAPFF license plate, in the interim, requests for the documents that are required to obtain the Professional Firefighter license plate should be made through the Local President. We hope the members understand that this is simply a step in ensuring the law enforcement community, the public as well as our membership that those who choose to display the IAFF license plate are truly Ohio's Professional Firefighters. |
