Earlier today, OAPFF President Jon Harvey spoke at the statehouse urging lawmakers to keep fire levies out of the changes proposed by HB335.

These changes will make it more difficult for voters to pass ballot initiatives and levies that make their communities safer.

Simply put, changes in public safety funding should be excluded from this property tax overhaul.

The OAPFF is not alone with this stance. President Harvey was joined by
State Reps:
Sean Brennan
Beryl Brown Piccolantonio
Derrick Hall
Dani Isaacsohn
Mark Sigrist
Veronica Sims
Daniel Troy
and
The Ohio Municipal League

We wanted to reach out to the community with an update from the Arcade team 💎

On the morning of June 12, a small fire occurred in one of the residential units in the Dayton Arcade’s Commercial Building. Thanks to the fast response from the Dayton Fire Department, it was quickly contained to one residential unit with minimal damage.

All residents and staff are safe, and the Arcade complex remains open and operational, including Table 33 on the first floor of the Commercial Building.

We’re especially grateful to first responders for their swift action!
